CHAN 2014: Super Eagles produce stunning comeback to defeat Morocco and qualify for semis

Uzoenyi-MoroccoThe Super Eagles, this evening recovered from a three-goal deficit, to beat the Atlas Lions of Morocco 4-3 and qualify for the semi-finals of the ongoing African Nations Championship.
The Nigerians went behind in the 33rd minute, after Mouhssine Moutouli lifted the ball over Chigozie Agbim. It was 2-0 just four minutes later, after Mouhssine Iajour blasted in a free-kick from the left. Mouhssine Moutouali grabbed his brace five minutes before the break, after he was set up just outside the box.
Ugonna Uzochukwu led the Eagles comeback four minutes after the interval, with a sweet finish inside the area, before Rabiu Ali volleyed in a second in the 55th minute. Just when it looked as if Stephen Keshi’s boys had run out of steam, Ejike Uzoenyi, who is staking his claim for a place in Nigeria’s World Cup squad, dropped a shoulder and found the top corner.
Abubakar Ibrahim completed the win, pouncing on a loose ball in the area, to ensure Nigeria progress to the semi-finals.
