The Nigerian State Security Service (SSS), Friday afternoon stormed the home of former FCT Minister, Mallam Nasir El-rufai.
The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), was yesterday invited by the agency.
He, however, turned down the invitation on the ground that there is a pending application in court against the SSS, which he filed after his detention during the November 16 gubernatorial election in Anamabra State.
DailyPost gathered that when operatives arrived the residence to arrest him, occupants of the building informed them that their target had gone for Jumu’ah (Friday Prayers).
They reportedly promised to return later.
His son, Mohammed Bello, confirmed the development on Twitter. See tweets below.
@B_ELRUFAI: The SS just came to our house to “arrest” Mallam. They got told he had gone to pray, and asked of his children and their mother.
@B_ELRUFAI: They threatened to force their way through the gate when they come back. You don’t need to force your way if you have an arrest warrant.
“@B_ELRUFAI: For the record, there’s nothing new and shocking about this.”
